Cataract Removed in Both Eyes(Bilateral Aphakia)

In high refractive errors like aphakia, chromatic and prismatic aberrations are bound to affect visual acuity and restrict the visual field. The objects magnify, thus causing orientation difficulty in the patient. With contact lenses, these difficulties are overcome as the magnification decreases and the objects appear in their normal size. The patient is also comfortable as he is always looking through the optical centre of the contact lens as the lens moves along with the movement of the eyeball.
