Irregular Astigmatism

This is a condition of refractive error in which there are no principal meridians and the refraction varies in each meridian, Le. + And – powers exist together in one eye. Spectacles do not correct the refractive error in such cases. By using contact lenses, the anterior surface of the cornea is replaced by the anterior optical surface of the contact lens, which overcomes the irregular astigmatism.
